FAQ

How do I translate and certify my documents?

Here are some of the common questions about our translation services.

Lingo Service covers more than 250 languages - from the most commonly used languages such as Arabic, Spanish, German, Italian and French to the more rare dialects such as Amharic, Hausa, Igbo, Yiddish and Afrikaans. Our database consists of over 4000 linguists and we can translate into almost any language.

It depends on the word count and complexity of the document or text. We offer same day urgent translation service. If you require a hard certified copy sent to your address, please allow one-two working days for postage. We also offer a soft certified copy via email if you cannot wait for postage, we will translate and certify your documents and then scan and email them over to you.

Our translators are highly qualified professional linguists with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. We have an extensive database of suppliers to ensure that each translation project is translated by the most suitable linguist. In-order to offer a high quality professional language service, we ensure that all translation work is assigned to native speakers of the target language., where possible within the target country and all with a background in the required subject field.

If you need to translate a company brochure, portfolio or booklet that was designed for printing or online publishing purpose, then you might need our desktop publishing service. If your text has a special layout or formatting (pictures, backgrounds, tables and columns) we ensure to create a mirror image of the translated text to match the source language created in the same application.

We accept PayPal, Debit/Credit Cards, Moneybookers or bank transfers in Pounds Stirling, USD and Euros. You can pay online, by phone or direct into our account.

This is determined by a number of factors and each quote is tailored to the individual customer and project. Language, document size, specialisation, complexity of document layout and timescales all play a part in determining the cost of you project. In order to give our clients an accurate translation quote, we need to see the documents and estimate word count and delivery time. Please contact us for a free no obligation quotation.

Certified translations are used for official purposes. If you are submitting you document to the Home Office, Foreign Commonwealth Office, embassies or any official government departments, you may be asked to provide certified translation by a professional translation company. We will translate your document and print it out on our company headed paper, sign and stamp it and post it to you accompanied by a certifying letter signed by our project managers to confirm that the translation is accurate and matches the original document.

We translate marriage, divorce and birth certificates. Lingo Service also translates diplomas, school certificates, university degrees and training courses certificates. There is an additional small fee for certification.
